WORKSHOP
Playful. Inclusive. Unexpectedly powerful.

Why Music? Why Now?
That’s where ImMusic comes in.
We offer workshops built entirely around impulsive, body-based music games that reignite focus, build group spirit, and develop key youth competences – like communication, coordination, creativity, and collaboration.
And here’s the twist:
No musical training is needed. No instruments required. No pressure. Just pure rhythm, movement, and connection.

What Happens in an ImMusic Workshop?
Vocal games
simple singing exercises,
call-and-response, creative soundscapes
Body rhythm and movement
clapping, stepping, tapping, reacting, echoing
Everyday percussion
spoons, cups, tabletops,
water jugs…
anything becomes an instrument
Group music games
designed to develop listening, leadership, and mutual support
Intercultural music activities
using rhythm as a universal language
Some games take 5 minutes and spark instant laughter. Others go deeper – encouraging reflection, team building, and ongoing use in camps, clubs, or trainings. All of them are:
easy to adapt
surprisingly effective
intentionally inclusive
Thinking of Hosting an ImMusic Session?
You don’t need to be a conductor, a musician, or even particularly rhythmic.
You just need a group, a bit of curiosity, and the willingness to make something fun and meaningful happen.
Here’s who these workshops are perfect for:
Youth workers & facilitators
Want to shake up your usual routine? ImMusic sessions are packed with simple, no-fuss music games that build trust, energy, and connection – great for camps, trainings, or just a midweek pick-me-up.
Teachers & educators
Whether you’re in a classroom, a library, or an after-school program, these activities help your students focus, express themselves, and collaborate – and you get to experience it all firsthand before bringing it back to your group.
Youth clubs, community spaces, and NGOs
Looking to add something fresh to your next event or program? ImMusic workshops turn any space into a lively, creative zone – perfect for mixed-age groups, multicultural settings, or just creating good vibes that stick.
And yes – no musical experience is required.
If you can clap, listen, and laugh a little, you’ve already got what it takes.

Inspiration: Our Pilot Workshop
What happens when you bring strangers together through music?
At the end of November 2022, something special happened.
Young people and youth workers from five countries gathered in Budapest for our very first ImMusic workshop – a weekend of rhythm, play, laughter, and surprising discoveries.
We didn’t need instruments or formal training. Just voices, movement, and open minds.
Led by the Hangkeltő Foundation’s team of musical explorers – Paula Chelemen, Zsuzsa Búzás, Edit Pálinkás, Melinda Nagy, Ágnes Horváth, and Csaba Tőri – we dove into music games of all kinds: playful and challenging, rhythmic and freeform, silly and surprisingly deep.
What participants said:
“The games are usable, changeable, and effective. They can be a skeleton — and everyone can build something new from them.”
“Some exercises helped children feel a steady beat. Others sparked improvisation — a space to imagine, express, and create.”
“I’ll use these again and again. They work not only in music classes, but in team building and youth events too.”
“It was wonderful to feel the rhythm of life together.”
